An established international performer, Jerry Douglas has been entertaining audiences worldwide throughout his long-standing career. Millions know him as "John Abbott" on the #1 rated daytime drama, CBS’ "The Young and the Restless."

He has guest starred on over 100 television series arid co-starred in many feature films during the course of his career. Some of his television credits include guest roles in "The FBI," "The Rockford Files," "Hunter," "Hill Street Blues," "Police Story," "Harry 0," and "House Calls," just to name a few. Jerry’s feature film credits include: "Avalanche," "Looker," "Mommie Dearest" and "JFK."

Jerry began his career as a singer on the east coast. He performed in the top nightclubs and concert halls on the eastern seaboard before turning his talents to acting. Now that his John Abbott character on "Young & The Restless," is so well established, Jerry is planning a series of concert performances around the country, as well as internationally where Y & R is viewed.

He is also a screenwriter who develops projects through his production company, Jovra Films. Currently Jerry has several television series and feature films in development.

When Jerry is not working, he is very active with Variety Clubs International, a charitable organization for children. In addition, for five years Jerry conducted a unique acting workshop at the California prison (Chino) for the purpose of building up the self-esteem among the inmates. The program was a remarkable success.

Jerry’s wife, Kym Douglas, is a news journalist on the 1 rated "The Gossip Show," on the E Entertainment Television network. Jerry and Kym Douglas currently live in Los Angeles.
