Kevin Patterson is currently based in San Diego, California where he is known as one of the top contemporary/commercial choreographers. He began his career in the performing arts as an actor/singer/dancer receiving wide acclaim for his starring roles in major musical productions such as "West Side Story," "Grease," and "The King and I." Aside from his stage work, which has taken him on tour throughout the United States and Europe, he has been featured in numerous commercials, videos, and television shows.
In addition to his successful performance career Mr. Patterson has also gained notoriety for his outstanding projects in choreography and directing. His choreography credits include: "Children of Eden," "King of Hearts," "Bandido," and "Dancing at Lughansa." His talents as a director/choreographer have also been exhibited on a number of industrials, documentaries, showcases, fashion shows, and videos. Mr. Pattersons directorial and choreographic work on the fairy tale "Etaine" won critical acclaim when the show premiered in front of a crowd of thousands at the Redlands Bowl. Mr. Patterson also directed and choreographed the world premier of the musical "Waves," produced by RTE and taped for broadcast in Ireland and the UK. The videotape will be available for sale internationally on the commercial market.
Most recently Mr. Patterson directed and choreographed the successful New Zealand and Australian national tours of "Ireland ., where the song and dance began."
