Actor and comedian Michael Winslow, is known worldwide for his weird and wacky role as Officer Larvelle Jones in the "Police Academy" film series.
After winning the "Gong Show" top honors, his film debut in "Cheech and Chongs Next Movie" followed by Cheech and Chongs Nice Dreams." His movie career continued with featured roles in "Alphabet City" with Vincent Spano and "Grand View USA" starring Jamie Lee Curtis.
When "Police Academy" became a smash success, his celebrity status was all but assured. He then went on to play a part in Mel Brooks "Spaceballs," a film that helped to further spotlight his unique style of comedy. He also heard, but not seen when he supplied the voice of Stripe, the evil little creature in the hit movie "Gremlins." When Michael J. Fox does his little dance in "Back To The Future 3" it is Winslows voice you hear doing the foot shuffles.
He has starred opposite Robert Carradine in the film "Buy and Cell" along with a string if hit movies in the European market.
Michael recently co-starred in the Italian television series "Extra Large 2" with European super-star Bud Spencer, and he guest starred on the German hit show "RTL Samstag Nacht" (Saturday Night Live).
Michael, a master of vocal gymnastics, can imitate over 10,000 sound effects using his voice. Whether he is recreating the frenzy of Jimi Hendrix playing the guitar, or the roar of a jet plane, or flying saucers in the new Universal Studios Florida ride "T2 – 3D," his versatility is truly remarkable.
In 1997 Michael further showcases his talents on "The Drew Carey Show," "Police Academy" television series, his concert motion picture "Michael Winslow Live," and the film "Lycanthrope," with whom he starred along side Carridine again.
Michael continues to perform in front of sold out concerts around the country, while having a busy movie career.
